Welcome to the Gender Page!

“Gender equality is more than a goal in itself. It is a precondition for meeting the challenge of reducing poverty, promoting sustainable development, and building good governance.” – Kofi Annan

On this page, you will find all information relating to gender. For the CLW program, the aim of our gender focus is to ensure that we can work together to meet the program’s goal to secure the equal rights of girls and boys to protection, education, survival and health. To achieve this goal, we need to be consistently thinking about how girls and boys may be differently impacted by this program, how they may be differently able to access this program, and how we can best support them throughout this program. We want to work together to enable a generation of leaders who can thrive, who are educated, who have access to dignified work, and who can be champions for gender equality and active participants in their communities and in their countries – this requires an explicit gender equality focus. This page aims to support our dialogue re: integrating gender throughout the CLW program, and provides a space for us to share ideas, experiences, and resources.”
